Heidelberg

Our next stop was Heidelberg... one of the famous attraction here is the Heidelberg castle... also known as Schloss Heidelberg...

The castle is quite popular among locals and coupled with the good weather that day, there were lots of people on the castle ground...

The castle is kinda in ruins due to war, fire and it was even struck by lightning a few times!!!

And from the castle, you get quite a good view of the Heidelberg Old Town...

There was even a wedding reception that day while we were there... Apparently there are about 100 weddings a year at the castle...

After that we went to the Old Town... and walked along the river...

The Old Bridge is also one of the landmark in the area...

It also provides a good view of the Heiligenberg mountain...

Crazy people jumping on the bridge like they never seen one before... :P

And the Karl-Theodore-Brücke... it used to be the city's main gate entrance...

There are lots of restaurants near the Haupstrasse and the one that we went to was really quite good...

See, everyone is giving thumbs up after the meal...
