Triberg (Schwarzwald)

Triberg is a small quiet German town located in Baden-Württemberg, in the heart of the Black Forest... and it is famous for its cuckoo clocks...

The house of 1000 clocks... in this shop, there are as you can guess 1000 cuckoo clocks of all sizes... it ranges from 20 euros to some which are a few thousand euros!!!

Some of the typical German snacks that we had... pretzel and currywurst... and hehehe... hard bread...

We initially planned to go to the waterfalls after our little snack... but alas, the rain started pouring and in the end we had no choice but to go back to our car and drove somewhere else first...

So we went and look for Cafe Schafer... apparently where the black forest cake is being invented!!!

Well... to be honest, the original black forest cake was too alcoholic for my liking... and not sweet enough to be a treat... but oh well... I guess the Germans like it strong...

After that we drove to the World's Largest Cuckoo Clock...

Inside there they have exhibitions on more clocks...

And oh... apparently the natives in this region wear this kinda hats... if you are single, your hat should be red and if you are married, it's black... hahahaha....

Nearby, there are also plenty of nature trails into Black Forest... I guess they called it black forest as the colour of the trees are really dark...

When the rain finally stopped, we made our way back to the waterfalls....

This waterfall is supposed to be the largest waterfall in Germany... for a such a little town, it was a lot of records to boast of man...

On our way back, we stopped by at this farm where they also have another cuckoo clock display... oh well... this place if famous for them...

I really think that this is one of the nicest part of Germany... and I would definitely recommend a visit...
