Decisions

There's a constant contradiction with what feels good, and what feels right, and what we truly want.

I guess at the end of the day... that somehow, through the decision making process, we learn who we really are and live with the decisions that we make in our life.

Only time will tell whether the decision is right. Or perhaps... sometimes we make the right decision and sometimes we make the decision right.

A hectic week

I'm seriously exhausted.

It has been non-stop ever since I finished my exams. (Yipee again!) Feel as if I'm on a roller coaster ride that never ends. I'm amazed that I actually found the energy to keep up with everything!

Straight from the exams hall, I had a million things lined up to make up for the time that I've been hibernating!

Had back-to-back activities ranging from drinks, party, poker night, picnic at the park, visiting Karl Marx's tomb (don't ask me how I ended up there...), catching up with friends, dim sum, mahjong, cooking dinner for friends, going to the cinema, celebrating a friend's birthday AND on top of everything... working crazily! Was at the office until 12am!

And I'm off to Amsterdam for the weekend tonight!

I'm a workaholic

Yes, I'm a self declared workaholic.

It's the first day of work after my exams and I'm already working until 8.30pm in the office AND working from home while I eat my instant noodles now.

Gosh, I'm such a loser!

Anyway, it's back to work... am trying to get my model to run before I call it a day.

The cat has eaten my face

Just kidding.

No, of course not.

But I do apologize for being so morbid. It's the result of not stepping out of the house for more than 5 consecutive days. Heck, I've not stepped out of my room that much for the matter. I spent about 91.67% of my time in my room, moving between my desk, my bed and the loo. The only time I ventured out of my room is to make something to eat. Period.

My daily routine for the past few days has been as follow:
Study, Eat, Study, Sleep, Study, Eat, Study and Sleep.

All thanks to THE person who invented exams.

Don't let me find out who you are.

Or else, dead or alive... you won't rest in peace!

Sigh...

Happy Easter!

Not that I get to enjoy my easter holidays this year, but still... it's always good to have reasons to celebrate and have holidays. Study or no study, holidays are always welcomed!
Plus... there's always cute little easter bunnies and easter eggs to cheer me up! :)

What colour are you?

Saw this link on my sis's blog and thought I'll try it out for fun (Okay, fine... yes, I'm trying to find excuses to be lazy... but come on, bear with me!!)

Anyway, here's my results:

you are darkgoldenrod
#B8860B

Your dominant hues are red and yellow... most of what you do is motivated by your need to change things and have a good time, but you've been known to settle down and think out a situation, too. You tend to surprise people just when they're starting to feel like they've got you down.

Your saturation level is high - you get into life and have a strong personality. Everyone you meet will either love you or hate you - either way, your goal is to get them to change the world with you. You are very hard working and don't have much patience for people without your initiative.

Your outlook on life is brighter than most people's. You like the idea of influencing things for the better and find hope in situations where others might give up. You're not exactly a bouncy sunshine but things in your world generally look up.

I like the line "...everyone I meet will either love or hate me..."
Try it out to see what colour you are!

Of looks and appearance

I made a passing comment the other day to my colleague that he looks kinda weird with his full suit, backpack and aviator sunglasses.

And he retaliated by telling me that I know nothing. As an enlightenment, he explained that his appearance tells a lot about himself:

  • The full suit shows that he has a good and respectable job
  • The backpack indicates that he plays sports and is healthy
  • And the sunglasses tells others that he doesn't care a s**t about what others think about him

With that, he concluded by asking me: What else can you possibly want more from a guy?

I always known that what you wear or the accessories that you carry reflects the fashion statements (or rather the lack of it!) that you want to make and possibly your personality. I guess to a lot of people, it also gives an indication of your eligibility to the opposite sex! Hmm... no wonder people dress to impress...

Aha... more reasons to shop without feeling guilty then! :P

Aaawww...

Feel so happy to know that people do care for and are protective of me... :)

Thank you!!

People who REALLY annoy me

Those who not only DO NOT appreciate things that others do for them, they complain about things that others do not do for them when those things would actually be favours rather than obligations if others do them.

Please, stop being so whiny and grow up! Stop taking people for granted. Nobody has the responsibility for your own welfare other than you, yourself okay?

And before you start complaining about others, take a GOOD look at yourself. Do you actually deserve favours from others? Have you done things which are supposed to be within your responsibilities? Have you been considerate to anyone in your whole life?

The world does not revolves around you okay? Stop being so selfish and immature!!

Happy April Fool's Day

Since I'm finding excuses to be lazy, here are some trivia on April Fool's Day that I found online:

  • It has been suggested that Europe derived its April-fooling from the French.

  • Many April Fool hoax jokes include the phrase "Lirpa Loof" (formed by reversing each word), as a supposed man's name, or a supposed substance, or various things.

  • Gmail's April 2004 launch was widely believed to be a prank, as Google was known to include joke pages on their website, until that point.

  • The phobic name for the fear of April Fools' Day is Aphrilophobia.

  • April Fool is the codename for a spy and double agent who allegedly played a key role in the downfall of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

  • Apple Computer was founded on April 1st 1976.

  • In 1957 the respected BBC news show Panorama announced that thanks to a very mild winter and the virtual elimination of the dreaded spaghetti weevil, Swiss farmers were enjoying a bumper spaghetti crop. It accompanied this announcement with footage of Swiss peasants pulling strands of spaghetti down from trees. Huge numbers of viewers were taken in, and many called up wanting to know how they could grow their own spaghetti trees. To this question, the BBC diplomatically replied that they should "place a sprig of spaghetti in a tin of tomato sauce and hope for the best."

And finally, a quote on April Fool's Day:

"April 1st: This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four." — Mark Twain

I guess I'm a fool after all!!

Happy April Fool's Day!!
