Makan-makan @ KL (Part 1)

A glimpse of what I have been stuffing myself with while I was back home!

My old time favourite of chicken hor fun and pig stomach soup near where I used to take piano lessons

Night-time hawkers near Pudu: my favourite curry "chee cheong fun", red bean soup, bo bo cha cha and sup kambing

The famous XO sauce fish head noodles and claypot "loh shee fun" (er.. I don't know what this is called in English... the literal translation is mouse tail noodles since it looks like the tail of the mouse!) at Old Klang Road

Other famous hawker food around KL such as BIG prawn noodles, beef ball noodles, fried fish cakes and hokkien mee

Aaah... and Dim Sum of course!

Oooh... and this cake that my sis told me about... it's actually made up of hundreds of thin sliced pancakes with vanilla cream between the sheets... yummy...

Local kuih-muih like this water chestnut jelly

DOUGHNUTS...

Hong Kong styled desserts and delicacies e.g. iced mango sago, oat porridge, black glutinous "tong sui" and fried radish cake

Fabulous Chinese restaurant dishes such as claypot crab rice, steamed fish, lemak prawns, honey chicken....

Classic chicken rice (both steamed and roast chicken!) served with roast pork, BBQ pork and pork balls...

And not to forget... MiMi's signature bird's nest!!!

Sigh... I'm really hungry now... but stay tuned... more photos to come... and you'll understand why I'm getting FAT now... sob sob sob...
