Ice Bar

I went to the ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON a few weeks ago! It's really cool and probably one of the best work related event that I went to :) We brought our clients to the ice bar to social and network with them...

The ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON is the first permanent bar made of ice in the UK located in the heart of Mayfair in London. It is kept at minus 5 degrees all year round and everything inside is made out of crystal clear ice transported especially from the Torne River in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden.

All the walls, bar, tables, and even our glasses for the vodka cocktail is made out of the purest ice.

We have this extensive vodka cocktail menu which you're allowed to choose from. As part of the entry, we were all given a free drink. But given that it is a work event, hehehe... we of course had more than one drinks! (since the company is paying for it... :P)

And this is one of my drink... something that has lychee juice and blue vodka in it! The ice glasses were really cool (and I mean it literally!)... but after a while, you just want to gulp down the whole drink as your hands start to freeze if you hold on to it any longer! Hahaha... and if you're curious, yes... the glasses do melt slightly when it touches your lips...

Since we're in there for 40 minutes, we were given designer thermal capes with a hood and gloves to keep us warm during our visit.

It was really fun but after the 40 minutes slot, let's just say I'm glad to be out in a nice and warm room! But since we're still in the premises of the Absolut Ice Bar, how can we not enjoy more vodka...

At the end of the night, having drank at least 3 mojitos with my associate director, I'm amazed that I actually managed to get home without saying anything stupid in front of clients...
